Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

Did you ever notice how the lack of a good chair effects just about everything? When the office moved over the weekend, somehow my chair went the way of the heffalump and other imaginary things.... it just vanished... (actually it was commandeered to be a conference room chair) and I was given a piece of crap... I went home yesterday and my back hurt, my left hip and leg had that pinched feeling with alternating "crawlies". I sent out the required emails and nothing happened. I was told that I had to wait until the office manager could take me to the 5th floor and find a more suitable chair. This afternoon, I got an email from him telling me there weren't any more chairs to be found.
So I go proactive. I walked around the third and fourth floor and found a suitable chair. I swapped out my p.o.c. chair for the other one and now things are a bit better. My back stopped hurting and my leg isn't pinched anymore.
Hooray for decent chairs!
On another note, we did a little shopping last night (not much mind you, but enough) and I now have paper, ink, paint and the lettering guide (that thing is just the slickest thing on the planet for drawing lines), and some fine grain cold press paper--bristol board (it's not the good stuff, but it IS okay for practicing...)... I can't draw worth a darn, so the plan is to do some tracing and try my hand at tracing and stencil making :) Yes, there are alternatives to everything :) and I plan to at least make a good effort at finding them....
The end of the week is payday and it's when I get a chance to get started on the card weaving for the Pas... it'll be great... honest! I can't give much info on it, but it's going to be a BLAST!!!
