The great autocrat debate
It's Sunday, and I really have nothing to write about. We had a good Saturday and the chicken linguini was wonderful! I found a $3 cow votive candle holder when I was in Kirkland's yesterday. I had to have it. I ended up cruising the mall because I had gone to the library to do research and they wouldn't let me use their computer without a library card (although I had done this a month earlier) and to get one would cost $21 and a month's wait. So I went into the book shelves to find their weaving selection.... pitiful is the word I'd use. They only had 5 to begin with, and they're all checked out. MY library has more than 5 books in it, but unfortunately, none of my books have the information I'm looking for.
The house is clean except for the two spare bedrooms, and I MIGHT tackle at least one of them today, but then again, maybe not. Today is going to be a relaxing day and who knows.. I may do somethingI don't normally do at home....take a quiet bath with my cow candle holder... well, okay.. it won't be IN the bath, but it'll be in the bathroom....
How's that for fun and exciting? Yeay me.. .I ROCK!
I finally have my computer at home back to working order and all of the programs I "need" have been downloaded and installed.. it only took me about tow weeks.
The HVAC is working again, thanks for 5 lbs of freon.
And things for the event in September seem to be shaping up nicely. I plan to sit back and wait for the dust to settle, but what I really wanna say is... it's the autocrat's event. If you don't like her choice of crew then do it yourself with your own hand-picked crew next year. As far as I know, there's only one person who makes the "who's doing what" decision. That's the autocrat. You can't really autocrat by committee and right now there are three with someone who thinks she should be number 4). It just doesn't work. (Well, maybe a href="http://bdeb.diaryland">Bryce can, but I don't think it should be attempted by mere mortals.) You can have the help you need without giving people titles.
Oh well, I think it'll be a great event nonetheless :)
