Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

Bah!
I'm at work today, and I had this whole diatribe typed out, and I just erased it.
It all boils down to one question...
If things are supposed to go my way at least every now and then, when do I get my turn?
Nope, I'm not in a good mood this morning and it's not likely to get any better as the day progresses, so be warned.
I'm here at work, (yes again) until 11:30, then I'm outta here).
oh yeah, and to add bad to worse, I came *this* close to getting creamed by a train.. yes boys and girls, a TRAIN (you know one of those big things on tracks with a really loud whistle and a big honking light on the front)...I crossed the train tracks on my way to work this morning, and came so close to meeting said train that it still unnerves me (the crossing arms never came down, and the crossing lights never came on).
Yeah, what a bonus, yeay me.
