2002-05-29 - 9:26 a.m. Sewing and stuff Well, I've been waiting for my studly he-man husband to post this, and since he hasn't yet, I will. My sewing machine is not only fixed, it has a walking foot attachment that worked like a dream! We tried it out on some of the scrap pavilion fabric we have and it went through it like margarine (butter's too hard to spread). So I'm back in sewing action. Just in time too. I've got some Pennsic sewing to get working on and I am planning on making that minimum wastage dress. Taking a page from Dame Anne, the current plan is one outfit for hubby, one "neat" thing for me". He really only needs pants (and yes, this time they'll be longer than the flood-pants he wears now). I did manage to find some of my missing garb.. it was still packed in a garb tub from last year (ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww). So, out with the old, in with the new!. We're going to work this week on getting the house in shape and finding a good storage place for the fabric I'll be buying soon. Add in Beth's pavilion in the mix and a couple of other things I really want, and I have a busy sewing schedule planned... but I'm not waiting til the last minute to get my sewing done. I'm actually getting rather psyched to do the sewing. Yeah, I'm weird, what's your point? Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE! |
