Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

2002-05-11 - 10:27 a.m.

No Puppy Appreciation Day

It's Saturday, and I've been at work for almost two hours now. I woke up at 7:00; popped out of bed and then roused Alan and we got here at around 8:30 (it's a 35 minutes trip to work for us); we're here til 5:00; so there won't be a puppy appreciation day this weekend. She'll have to be patient til next weekend.

I made some killer mocha chocolate chip cookies last night. The cookie dough was so light and fluffy it was scary. It looked like the stuff in the middle of a milky way, and I had my doubts til I tasted it... and OH MY GAWD it was the best cookie "batter" I'd ever tasted. Emeril is a GOD! I brought a couple dozen with me to let the folks at work be the guinea pigs. So far no one's died, and I've gotten really good reviews... so that's a positive.

After work, it's off to Vernon and Susan's for some visiting and woodworking (have I mentioned they're cool people??!)

Tomorrow morning it's off to Sorcha and Andrew's (they're another set of cool people)...

My world is just brimming with cool people lately. This is just way cool.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
