Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

Better Day
Well, the storm (or whatever it was) seems to have blown over and the moods are better all the way around.
We have an appointment with a real estate lawyer tomorrow morning to go over the forms we have to sign and send back. We don't have to pay the $495 to lock in the interest rate, it's an FHA loan, and you can't lock in the rate yet. So that's a positive. $500 is a lot to come up with on the fly.
Tonight is busy, we've got cleaning to do, a trip to circuit city to get a hub and some ethernet cards (usb is a wonderful thing); then off to the grocery store (aka wal mart) to get some food to get us through the weekend.
Today, the diet isn't going well. I don't feel good, so I'm not being as careful as I usually am.
I know the first thing I'm doing once the house is ours.... we've got a wooden porch and railing in the front and back, and I'm forever getting splinters in my hands from that blasted railing. This time, I ended up with two in just about the same place.... right against my wedding band. I couldn't figure out why my ring was bugging me so much and that finger was so sore. Last night, I managed to pull out two 1/4" slivers of wood from under my ring... OWWIE. These had been there for so long that the skin was starting to grow over them... I couldn't find them, so I figured it was just all in my head... Anways, for them what care ((tm) Colin-g), The first thing that's happening is the railing is getting sanded and polyeurethaned or varnished... so I can finally end the splinters.
After that, I'll learn how to put links to other folks pages in my diaryland entry correctly, since I can't seem to do it right no matter how hard I try, and I used to know html really well... but I guess if you don't use it, you lose it. Oh, did I mention I think I overdosed myself on my blood sugar medicine. I took it at 3:00 am because I missed my 9:00 dose, and then I took it again at 8:00; i've felt pretty icky all day and it's just not a pleasant feeling :(
