Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

Saturday and the Pas
Well, we're home from the Pas... and it was awesome! I had a great time spending the time with some wonderfully fun and interesting people!
It was just awesome and I hope to spend more time with such cool and groovy people.
On the way home, we held our breath... hardly daring to speak the word "electricity"... would we have it, or not? Would it be another day in the dark, of going to a friend's house to wash clothes, take a shower and enjoy their air conditioning? We rounded the corner down Vaughan road and held our breath.... then we saw this....
Our house bathed in the warmth of lights! It was a sight to behold and I was the happiest I've been in a long time. We went through the house trying the taps and flushing toilets.. the sound might have been something compared to the songs of angels.. it was THAT sweet.
The nightmare appears to be over for now. All of the items that we bought to get us through this will be stored away in a "storm items" plastic tub, ready for the next time we have a storm.
It is truly over... and with that... I'm gonna go do what I've said I wanted to... take a shower!
