Update on Dinner

I'm sure you're all sitting here wondering how the dinner party last night went. It went...... surprisingly well!

The spaghetti sauce managed to NOT be spaghetti soup (thanks to some tomato paste and some praying). The meal was delicious (so they said, even if they were just being nice, I'll take it).

The dog was her own cute self and the cats came out of hiding for the occasion. Our guests appeared to be relaxed and comfy and we had a wonderful conversation and a great evening.

It was over by 9:30 (it's at least a 30 minute drive to their house from ours, so an early evening was understandable).

All in all, it was a wonderful time, and now we've got a vat of sketti sauce we have to figure out what to do with. I'm for canning, but we don't really have the money for jars and lids and stuff (yeah, I know, they're not that expensive, but right now we need to conserve money in a bad way). I think we're going to use some for make some hungarian goulash for dinner one night, then put the rest in ziplocks and freeze it for a "rainy day".

I've got some dishes to do, some laundry that needs attention and then cookies to make (we've got a Fall Festival, thing at work, and we're all supposed to bring something.. I'm brining my Mocha Chocolate chip cookies) tonight. I think the Dude of my Universe is going to dig up some post holes tonight (like two or so), depending on the weather).

The weather for the weekens so far, looks reasonable, but as per usual, I'm already worried about the guests and do we have everything we need for the weekend, etc. etc. etc.

Once this weekend is over, I can finally relax. That will be SO nice. My Turkey vacation is going to subsist of cooking on Thursday, spending Friday weaving, a demo for a few hours on Saturday with more weaving on Sunday, with a lot of Honey and new dog time sprinkled in. It's pretty much going to be a do what you please weekend, I can't wait... only one more day til this weekend, and then only three more working days til it's over.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
