Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

Dreary Dismal Monday
Had a pretty good weekend, but wound up with the headache to end all headaches when we got home...the house was incredibly warm and sticky (ewwww is the word I'd use).
I had a good weekend, as I thought, I was all worried and stressed for nothing. It turned out to be a pretty decent party with a few friends that I actually knew!
Since we've been home, we've had a velcro puppy and a cling-form cat. Lemme tell you, in a hot and sticky house, that's the last thing you want.
It's mid-November and we slept with the windows open... go figure. It was beautiful. I wish we'd left earlier, we would have had the time and the nice day to get the holes dug for the fence instead of having to wait for this coming weekend, when we have company.
The weekend after that, Gwyn, Kristin. liz, Nick, Wiley and Sphygo come for Fence Day. (Nick, Wiley and Sphygo are dogs, btw)... we're going to have a full house, that's for sure.
Thankfully Karin's coming this Thursday.
