Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

Crown Tourney

Well, tonight we start the semi-annual "getting ready for crown". Not that my love is fighting, but we're still going to be busy (camera... add camera to the list...). Supposedly his AOA scroll is in the competition, and we have a friend who is putting something really neat and spiff in the subtlety competition. I'm bringing (what else) my inkle loom and my lucet...the colors for the Feast of St. Fortunatas is red, black and gold... so I'm wondering if I could dye this cotton cord I'm making from white to gold and then use it as trim on black and white stuff. Would that be odd?

It occurred to me that I've made trim for a few people, but I've nver made any for us, maybe that'll be something for me to do over the Winter "break". Yeah.. sure.. there is a break... honest! I've seen it around here somewhere!

I've got a heralds banner to make this evening too... we bought some green and "yellow" canvas.. but thanks to the lighting we have at home it looks rather GOLDish to orange. It looked great in the store, but I can't tell which light is "right". Well, if you're at Crown this weekend, come on by and check out the banner and say HI :)

We're about two weeks til fence day and I'm excited. I've been talking to my sister (yep, THAT one) I figured she'd give me a hard time about adopting another dog, but she didn't... she actually said that we were doing something "good". I was floored. Maybe she's changing, too. That would be nice.

We're thinking about going to my love's parents in Pennsylvania for Christmas. We'll need to either board the dogs or get friends to housesit. Hmm.. that's an option.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
