Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

2002-10-14 - 8:52 a.m.

Meandering Monday

A quiet weekend... We went to the Ren Faire at Pocahontas park, had fun, watched "knights" train for the joust, that sort of thing.

Spent the rest of the weekend, basically relaxing, enjoying the company of a friend who came through town.

We got my loom repositioned in the living room, so it's useable again; and hopefully tomorrow, I'm going to get some "trash" yarn to warp it. I just have to decide whether I want to work on something small (like placemats) or something larger, like a throw for the back of the loveseat :) I dunno which to do.

Maybe when I go home tonight, I'll see if I can find that backissue of Handwoven with the celtic knotwork shawl and maybe work on something like that. That would involve remembering how to use the loom as well as learning a new "process" for weaving. I think that might be a bit much to do all at once since I haven't really touched the thing thing since a week before Crusades last year.

Decisions, decisions, decisions :)

I'm on the call center again today. Yippee skippy is all i can say about it. I used to be enthused about it, but not lately.

My diet is still NOT progressing. I'm still the same weight I was a month ago. That's not right. I guess it's time to get off my butt and go get the appetite suppressant the doctor suggested and then get on the treadmill.

Maybe I can persuade my love to help me get that computer desk from behind it, so I can stretch it out and do some exercise (even if it's just walking).

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
