Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

No Crusades for me this year
Well, we didn't go to Crusades. The traffic report combined with the weather report just made us what to hide. So that's what we've been doing. The house got a major cleaning, which it desperately needed. We did some rearranging of the furniture, we at least APPEAR to have more room in he living room now, which is good, and my loom is now in a good place to actually be used.
It ended up in the corner with a sewing table in front of it for almost a year because we simply didn't have a place to store that sewing machine for that long.
So now it's out, and hopefully I'll be able to use it (the loom ) soon.
I'm having an odd day. Things that don't usually bother me, bother me, and things that usually bother me, don't.
My joints have been achy for the past few days and I wonder how painful it must have been for my mom (she had arthritis in her hips and knees); then I think about all the people who have to deal with the pain caused by the defective implants and I wonder how in the world they cope, when I have aches and pains and want nothing more but to take ibuprofen and cuddle up.
I think I'll go do that now :)
