Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

2002-09-02 - 6:54 p.m.

Short 3 day Weekend

In what appears to be the never-ending saga of the truck...we have some news. The ignition switch is fixed and thanks to the extended service warranty, it's only going to cost us $25. We have to pay for the rental car, but we get reimbursed for that up to $25 per day. All in all, we lose a total of about $20 in the entire transaction. That's not too bad. Of course, that doesn't take into consideration the $154.99 it's going to cost us for the tune up... but one thing at a time.

We went to a friend's house last night for a party and found out that some friends Alan used to work with are pregnant. I'm so happy for them. They'll make excellent parents. The evening was just loaded with good conversation (I may have an SCA convert to drag with us to an event or two); great food and an in-depth look at a PS2. I think that'll be a Christmas present for us...

We now have our satellite modem, and so far, so good (although I think the next topic of conversation is going to be a new computer to keep up with the lightning fast speed of the new modem. The dish they put up weihs 50 pounds and is about the size of TWO of our tv dishes.

The three day weekend went by much too fast. Next weekend is Coronation (providing we get the truck tuned up by then); and then it's Siege of Glengary.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and holiday.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
