Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

2002-08-23 - 9:44 a.m.

TGI - FRIDAY!

What have I learned today? I learned that 600 past due on Monday means 608 past due on Friday.. and we've got about 20 people working on the project. In short, we're not really getting anywhere. The boss has offered cots and dinner (and a brunch in the morning if we're all still here).

I don't have the heart to tell him I've got a dog at home on cage rest and she needs to be let out... a dachshund with her legs crossed is not an endearing sight. If we had the $$ we'd do a rental so Alan could go home and I could stay... at this rate, we could be here a while; but I'm relatively certain we can't afford that so close to Pennsic. A second car would sure make things easier, but then parking would be a pain.

Oh well, Saturday (if I don't have to work) will be a day to get some stuff done around the house. We've got to mow the grass and perhaps a land fill run or two to get some of the stuff done that we put off while preparing for Pennsic (and avoiding the heat).

My voice is also going. It's scratchy and Ive got a cough to go along with it. I think I've got an ear infection, I've been so tired this week, I wonder if it's because my body is trying to get rid of the infection or something. I don't usually go to bed at 8:30 (considering I only got home like an hour and half before I went to bed).

I'm not sure how long I'll be here tonight.

My thoughts are with Colin-g and his family as they wait to hear--I hope it's good news, or at least positive.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
