Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

2002-08-20 - 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday--Wheeee

Honey is home and doing well. We had x-rays tken of her back while she was boarding at the vets and she's got some calcification in the thoracic part of her vertebrae. She's on cage rest and rimadyl for the next month. She was happy to be home, that's for sure. She ran around sniffing everything (including the cats) and couldn't wait til bedtime. She snuggled up with me to watch tv, and had to have my hand on her the entire time. Those people who say animals have no concept of time are just plain idiots. She wouldn't sleep last night unless she was touching one of us. (in case you were still wondering... Honey is the dog, a big huge, barking dachshund)

The cats are still howling at the bedroom door. So much so, that it earned Tessa a night in the guest bathroom. If she's going to howl, I don't want to hear her.

I spent some time last night snuggling with Honey and warping my inkle loom for a little card weaving project, so I can figure out letters. This is going to be my last of several forays into learning this one. If it doesn't work, then I'm going to just assume that I'm not meant to do letters.

I have to work late tonight, until around 7 if I can stand it that long (and the rest of this week I believe);

We've got some things to do to on Saturday to prepare for the canton's visit on Sunday (we're now semi-officially incipient... we're on the Kingdom Webpage! Yeay!!!!) and it appears that the Heralds aren't coming for a visit the following weekend, so we MAY have a three day weekend to work on the chairs we want for Seige of Glengary.

They appear to be rather easy, but as with most things we do, time will tell.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
