Veteran's Day and an Etiquette Question

2002-08-07 - 9:54 a.m.

31 hours and Counting

My day today is better than yesterday, although I'm still stymied by the pickup lettering and my inkle loom. I think I'll take it to war and try to puzzle it out in my copius spare time :-)... That is, if I can find the book I was using... it has disappeared.

We appear to be 99% packed and staged at the front door... right now, the living room is a myriad of boxes waiting to go into the now empty truck. That happens tonight. We've got a few small projects then we start the great packing trek.... lots of trips in and out of the house with various sizes of boxes and the like, while we try to make good use of all the "space" we don't have. We should be fine spacewise... we're taking the same amount of stuff that we took last year, but somehow, it's all smaller and more compact. I don't understand it, really, but it's true. It must be magic, that's all I can figure.

I realized last night (at about 11:00) that I forgot to hem my parti-color dress. I'm going to have to model it for my love and hand him the pins. Then if I fold it well, I can work on it in the truck on the way to site (or at the hotel... that would work!)

Not much else going on.. I finally got a good night's sleep last night (thank you!), and I found my debit card and managed to put my medications in my purse so I'm back to normalcy finally.

We have about 31 hours til we get to leave for Pennsic by way of West Virginia.

I hope we haven't forgotten anything major.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
