2002-08-05 - 10:26 a.m. Pennsic and sewing table. Time is getting closer. We start the grand packing on Wednesday evening. I've got everything as ready as it can be. The weaving I promised for the basket is done (the ends need to be finished, but that's a two minute job); my blue and white parti color dress is done (all but the hemline and the cuffs), and I do have to say, it looks GOOD. We did our last bits of shopping and other than general pick ups for stuff we need through the week, that's done too. We've got to pick up my diabetes testing supplies tonight and other than that, we're done. We found a shower this weekend that works on batteries, and gives a nice controlled shower (when hooked up to a 5 gallon "canister"); it has pressure to it and everything! Woohoo! Of course the downsize is, it takes 4 D batteries (but they last for a while, so sayeth the box). I'm going to make myself another hood tonight, and finish the "purses" to hide the plastic cases we have. My left knee is killing me; but I'll be fine. I just got a bolt from the blue from my sister. She offered me my mother's sewing machine and cabinet as well as some pieces of my mother's china. I told her I wanted it, but we'll see if I actually get it. Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE! |
