2002-07-26 - 9:12 a.m. The Day Before Tomorrow is the event... the third of four things on my Summer To do List... that means my summer is half over *sigh*. But on a better note, both pavilions are DONE! Yeay! (dance in the aisle if you must, it's something to celebrate). last night was spent finishing up the last touches on our pavilion, and redoing the pipe on the liripipe hood. It was just a tad too long for my liking. When that was done, I messed around with the decorative stitches my machine has and found one I liked and added it to the bottom of the hood. I used a pearl grey thread and the hood is a burgundy-red, it looks really cool! Other than cutting out three shirts and two pairs of pants, that's all I got to. Our fabric pile is sorely lacking and needs another infusion, I'm sorry to say. I have enough yellow to make a cotehardie like the green one (only no dye-ing this time), and we have some other fabric (mostly red); that's screaming to have something made. Other than garb sewing and packing, that's really all we have left to do for pennsic.... now my event tomorrow is another matter completely. We still have to: copy the map to the food joints, put up signage (in the rain, that should be exciting); wash the baronial coolers and water bottles since I was told they may not have been cleaned out from the last event, get a few tables and chairs, buy some (like 4-6) hay bales, and then pack the truck with two pavilions worth of poles, ground cloths and sewn fabric, get it all to site and put up where it belongs, then wait for the dayshade to show up..it'll be there, just not as early as I'd like it to be there... and then wait for the good stuff to happen. I'm a duck.. really..... Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE! |
