2002-01-08 - 3:47 p.m. Moods and Gold Stars Okay... Let me say this once... if you have a bad mood, keep it away from ME. My day started off relatively good, my mood was pretty nice; heck I was even cherry and happy. Then I got to work. As the day has worn on, the mood here has declined like you wouldn't belive. I'm trying hard to keep my mood out of the dumper, and it's not easy. I know people have bad days, and I can understand that it's frustrating when people don't return phone calls and classes are getting ready to start, so things are even more stressful than they were last week, but don't murder the messenger. I'm only answering the phone! Take a pill, relax, watch some Springer if you need to. My mood doesn't have to match your mood no matter how hard you try to make it so. A dear friend of mine sent me a url to a comic strip that just screamed "appropriate!" One more reason to heap praise on people... cost has no relation to value: http://www.nightswimming.com/rose/oldies/goldstar.jpg I remember gold stars, and even as an adult, I wish every so often someone would give me one, especially when the world wants me to have a crappy day. Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE! |
