My Resolution

What I want:

To put a positive spin on the way I've been feeling, here is my latest thought process.

I want to improve my weaving and learn more about the craft that I enjoy. I want to find someone who is knowledgeable about my craft and learn from them. I want to learn what it is to be a peer. In short, I want to be an apprentice. I want to apprentice to someone who is interested in weaving. There. I said it.

I want to learn more about my weaving and to do what it takes to get good enough to become an apprentice.

I've been told that the best way to do that is to "get noticed"

So here is my New Year's Resolution:

I am interested in quality over quantity. This year, I will enter several woven pieces (with documentation) into local and Kingdom A&S activities. I'm not looking to "win" anything, other than constructive feedback.

The plan as it stands now, is one by inkle loom, one by cardweaving and one plainweave on my floor loom.

And, I will teach at least one other person about my "craft" and no, Gorm doesn't count.

Please don't forget to answer my survey... it's research for a small business idea... all comments appreciated, no reasonable offer refused!!! It won't take five minutes, I PROMISE!

For Matt, come home safe and sound! We miss you!
